Joban ate jawan tak ke maya vich galtaan o bande; Mahal marhiyan uchchiyan tak ke kyon karnan eyn shaan o bande. O' man, fascinated by beauty and youth, and stuck up into the mire of materialism; Why do you feel proud on seeing your magnificent palaces and mansions? O' man, puffed by false vanity, don't forget your real self; Engrossed in the five vices, you have forgotten God. The Formless God, your sustainer, is just by your side, but you shall know this divine secret only from the True Master; Avtar says, listen O' saints, you shall attain salvation. |
Meaning
Here , Baba Avtar Singh Ji says that man should understand that the value of life and not the value of materialism.
He says that man is always excited and happy looking at the beauty of the world (materialistic things) that he is stuck there in worldly pleasures. Man forgets that one day his life will be taken away from him. He forgets the life that he has been gifted and also the source from where he has come.
Thus, He says that God is standing by man all the time and therefore only a True Master can reveal the knowledge of God in this living presence of man.
